Microsoft Software Access

ITP students have access to some Microsoft Software Titles for free as a result of our membership to the MSDN Academic Alliance. Students are able to download this software here. Your username is your @colorado.edu email address. Your password was sent to you in an email with the subject heading "Welcome to MSDN Academic Alliance: Online Software System." We were only able to add people to the database that have @colorado.edu email accounts on file with ITP, so if you did not receive this email then please contact the database administrator (Information below) and he will get your account setup.

Once logged into the database, accessing the software is pretty easy. You are able to browse through the titles that we have and then select the ones that you want to download. It looks like the database only works correctly in Internet Explorer. Some software downloads an installer and other software will download a CD image file that you will then have to burn onto a CD before installing. There is also an option for having the CD mailed to you for a nominal fee.

We have access to some additional titles that are not on this server. If you have interest in a specific Microsoft Title, then contact the database administrator to see if we have access to that software or not.

Troubleshooting

Contact Andrew Bartlett. He is the database administrator and our point of contact with Microsoft. If you are having issues with logging in or getting a password in the first place Andrew can help you.
