Take ITP Courses from Anywhere in the World!
Students of the Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program have the unique opportunity to obtain their degree from anywhere in the world. The ITP master of engineering and master of science degrees and ITP certificates are available via distance learning. Distance education students are served by the Center for Advanced Education in Technology and Engineering (CAETE), the distance learning and professional studies arm of the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado At Boulder. CAETE provides convenient and flexible graduate education from the College of Engineering via online delivery (streaming and downloading from the internet) and CD-ROM. Courses taken can be applied toward masters' degree requirements or toward a graduate certificate, or simply for professional development. ITP courses offered online are listed on the CAETE website.
Distance education students are always welcome on campus, but are only required to be present on campus to either defend their thesis or participate in the presentation of their capstone.
Applying as a Distance Student
Follow the ITP application procedures and indicate your intention to take courses via CAETE on the application itself.
Registration for Distance Students
Non-degree seeking and degree seeking students taking courses via our distance program, must register through CAETE.
